an introduction

Hi, hello, and welcome!

ADDventures is a blog about living with ADD/ADHD.
Writing about any aspect of that experience is what I am seeking.

Some topics I'm hoping to have posts about:

  • task management and organization
  • both positive and negative things you have experienced because of ADD/ADHD
  • dealing with doctors, teachers, employers, etc
  • idk, pretty much any aspect of living with ADD/ADHD
Contributors will be paid uh. I don't know what freelance blog posts are worth. But I swear I will pay you, as soon as I figure out what is a fair rate. No working for exposure over here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Payment will be within 2 weeks of the post being published, usually sooner, I'm sure.

Please keep blog posts short and simple, preferably with like, bullet points or section headings or something like that. I know I sometimes have troubles sitting down and reading posts that don't have those, so I imagine many others do too. And I want to make this blog as accessible as possible to people with ADD/ADHD, obviously.

Email pitches to submissions@addventures.club & we will go from there!
Please include a brief summary of what you want to write about, how long you think the post will be, how many days you think it will be before it is complete (or if you'd prefer I can set a deadline for you) your name as you would like it published, a bit about your experience in life and with the disorder, and a brief author bio. If I'm missing something please tell me. If you included a potential title too, that'd be great as I am terrible at coming up with titles.
If you've already written something you'd like to see posted here, feel free to send it to me! I cross my heart hope to die that I will not do anything shady like steal your content.

Sorry for the points of this post where it's kind of stream of consciousness comma unprofessional; I've been without my meds for almost two weeks now so I'm a bit scattered at the moment.

ANYWAY

I'm hoping that this blog will be a useful resource.
I want to create something that can be useful to functioning in this ableist society for people with ADD/ADHD, as well as something that can perhaps offer insight into what our lives are like for people who do not have this disorder.

I look forward to hearing from you!!
